Why Victoria Falls?

I chose Victoria Falls for this trip because it is the perfect amount of “creature comforts meets epic adventure.” The town of Victoria Falls is very westernized (you can order chicken fingers if you want!) so it makes it an easy home base to get settled and adjusted to the time change while preparing to head out on safari. It also is safe to walk around town and there is SO much to do there. Everyone will have 2 full days in Victoria Falls to explore. We will all go to the famous waterfall together on the Zimbabwean side, but during your free time in town you could: take a helicopter flight over the falls, bungee jump, have high tea over looking the falls, watch an crazy vulture feeding, explore town and see if any elephants walk through, take a game drive into Victoria Falls National Park, cross the border into Zambia to see the Zambian side of the falls, white water raft the great Zambezi, and so much more. When you arrive in Victoria Falls, I will coordinate a local guide to speak with the group about all of your options for your free time and you can find others from the group who are interested in using their time the same way, and if you just want to hang out and explore, I’ll be around to help you find your way.

Some Things To Note:

African Travel:

If you’ve never been to Africa, it’s worth noting that driving on 4×4 for safari can feel like a bit of a rugged experience (despite our night stays being incredible accommodations). Flexibility is key as we cannot control the wildlife (that’s what makes it wild!). It’s important that you come to Africa ready for an adventure, because that’s exactly what you’ll get.

FAQ’s

Are Payment Plans Available?

Yes! I require a $1500 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. After that, we can work out a payment plan that works for you. The entire balance needs to be paid off 45 days before the trip begins, but we also accept Afterpay and Paypal Credit to add more options for extending your payment plan over a longer period of time.

What is the Average Age Range?

Adventuring With Shannon’s Tours do not have an upper age limit because Shannon believes that adventure doesn’t have an age limit. These tours are created to cater to the needs and desires of people who are looking to experience a more upscale style trip instead of backpacking through hostels and more of a cultural experience than a partying one. These trips accept anyone over the age of 18 but our typical age range is late 20s to retirees.

Will Shannon Send a Packing List?

Yes! Before the trip, you will receive a packing list, a full itinerary, and other important information.

Why Aren’t Flights Included and How Can I Book Them?

Flights are not included in the price as people are coming from multiple different locations, and I don’t believe that it is fair to announce one price that may be overcharging one woman to subsidize the price of another woman whose flight might be more expensive. However, I am a Cheap Flights Expert and even run a Facebook Group and am happy to aid you in booking an affordable plane ticket to and from Italy. You will want to fly in and out of Marrakech.

What If I Want to Arrive Earlier?

If you would like to arrive early for any reason, I can arrange an earlier airport pickup and another day of hotels at cost. Just let me know in advance so that I can work it out for you.

How Big Is The Tour?

In order for the trip to run, a minimum of 6 people need to sign up. The group maxes out at 12 people. If the trip does not meet the number requirement, you will be refunded in full.

What If I Have Questions?

If you have any questions at all, you can email me at shannon@adventuringwithshannon.com. I will also be creating a group message for everyone to communicate prior to the trip. That way you can post any questions you may have as others may have the same question! This will also allow you to get to know some of your fellow travelers before the trip!

What Types Of Payment Do You Accept?

Payment can be done through Paypal or any major credit card through a secure portal on my website.

Trip Insurance

While I will have my own trip insurance for the group in case of emergencies and for general liability. I require you to get your own personal travel insurance for the trip. Once you have gotten your travel insurance, I will need you to send it to shannon@adventuringwithshannon.com so that I can add it to your documentation.
